Nov. 14: Deadline for players to accept or reject qualifying offers.
Nov. 18: Deadline to add players to 40-man roster.
Dec. 1: Collective bargaining agreement between players and owners expires.
Dec. 2: Deadline to tender contracts to pre-arbitration and arbitration-eligible players. Any player not offered a contract by this time becomes a free agent.
Dec. 5-8: Winter meetings in Washington, D.C.
Dec. 8: Rule 5 draft.
Feb. 13: Twins pitchers and catchers report to spring training.
