More on this hilarious pic from last night at The Sportress of Blogitude.

Well that game kinda sucked.

The Twins were almost no-hit Monday night in Arlington by Texas Rangers starter Rich Harden and three relievers until Joe Mauer punched a base hit into center field with one out in the ninth to break up the combined bid and account for the one and only Minnesota hit of the 4-0 loss. Which by the way, was not all Nick Blackburn's fault.

Jason Kubel completed the hat trick by striking out three times, and the Twins failed to take advantage of the six walks dished out by Rangers pitchers. That's sort of ridiculous.

Other crappy news: an MRI on Ron Mahay's right shoulder revealed a torn rotator cuff on Monday, meaning that the lefty is likely out for the remainder of the season. This leaves just one southpaw in the bullpen: Glen Perkins. Awesome. However, Jose Mijares should be looking at a return in a few more weeks if his surgically-repaired knee is up to it.

The Twins are hoping to bounce back Tuesday night when Carl Pavano, who would love to put his last start behind him, takes the hill against right-hander Colby Lewis at 7:05pm for the second game of the four-game set.
