New Britain Rock Cats auction off game-worn jerseys to benefit victims of Sandy

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The New Britain Rock Cats are auctioning off some game-worn baseball jerseys to benefit victims of Superstorm Sandy.

Bidding on the black alternate game worn uniforms runs through Nov. 16 at noon. A link to the auction can be found at www.rockcats.com.

Proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Salvation Army's Hurricane Sandy Relief fund.

The Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins also plans to donate some holiday gift packages to storm victims. Those will include two club-level tickets to a game, $10 concession vouchers and $60 worth of novelty items.
