Injury updates

Vance Worley, RHP: Worley, battling shoulder problems, was done pitching in games but was rehabbing in Fort Myers when a bullpen session on Aug. 20 didn't go well. He had an MRI exam, which revealed nothing. Worley, the Twins' Opening Day starter, remains at Fort Myers, trying to work through his issues.

J.T. Chargois, RHP: Chargois, a hard-throwing reliever selected in the second round of the 2012 draft, will undergo Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. Chargois didn't pitch an inning this season as he tried to rehab the elbow. It was during a live batting practice session that he suffered an acute tear of his ulnar collateral ligament.

Tom Stuifbergen, RHP: Stuifbergen recently had Tommy John surgery and is in the early stages of rehabilitation. He was 3-1, 6.16 with Class AA New Britain but hasn't pitched since July 16.

Lester Oliveros, RHP: The reliever has completed his recovery from Tommy John surgery. His velocity is back, and he heads into the offseason with no winter ball restrictions.

Deolis Guerra, RHP: No restrictions for Guerra as well. He had a rib removed after dealing with blood clots during the World Baseball Classic, costing him the season.
