Twins update

The Twins went 4-2 in their first homestand at Target Field, where they play their next six games. That homestand was supposed to be 10 games, but four were postponed by weather. They are 1-1 in interleague play, having split a pair at Pittsburgh. … The Twins are 11-10 all-time vs. Cincinnati, and 7-2 at home, with all nine games in the Metrodome; the Reds last played there in 2001. With this visit, only San Francisco and Washington have never played in Target Field. … With 407 career doubles, 1B Joe Mauer needs seven more to tie Kirby Puckett as the Twins' all-time leader. … Hughes and Odorizzi each has one career start against the Reds. Hughes gave up four runs in 6⅔ innings at Cincinnati in 2014 and earned a victory, while Odorizzi allowed three runs in seven innings last season with Tampa Bay, and got no decision. Berrios has never faced Cincinnati.
