The Twins have purchased 500 upper-deck seats tor the Lynx-San Antonio game at 8 p.m. Friday at Target Center.

There is a joke there somewhere because the struggling Twins have a home game that same night against Cleveland, starting at 7:10 p.m. Going to both events would be pretty difficult.

All kidding aside, that was a nice gesture by the local major league baseball team. Outfielder Michael Cuddyer recorded radio spots that aired on KFAN and Cities 97 on Wednesday morning, saying the first 250 callers to the Lynx offices could get two of the 500 tickets.

The tickets were all gone by noon.

McWILLIAMS-FRANKLIN, MOORE ON NBA-TV SHOW

Two Lynx players, veteran Taj McWilliams-Franklin and rookie Maya Moore, will be on a NBA-TV show called "WNBA Roundtable: Generations" which airs at 5 p.m. Thursday.

They will be jonied by Tina Charles of Connecticut and Cappie Pondexter of New York.

During the half-hour shows the four WNBA players will share draft-day memories, discuss their basketball idols, the state of the league and talk about the playoffs. Sounds like the show should be at least 60 minutes long, right?

At 10 p.m. Friday and at 6 and 11 p.m. Saturday, NBA-TV also will air 30-minute WNBA playoffs postgame shows. The lineup for those shows: Rick Kamla, LaChina Robinson and Dennis Scott.
