Miguel Sano ran in the outfield and took some b.p. this afternoon and is closer to returning to the lineup.

``There;s been a lot of improvement the last 48 hours," Twins manager Paul Molitor said.

The one thing that didn't go well was when he swung the bat. That when he could feel some soreness.

But the Twins are pleased with Sano's progress, and there's a small chance he could play on Wednesday.

``We're going to let his young body heal another 24 hours," Molitor said.

Albert Pujols and Mike Trout weren't in the original lineup for the Angels. Pujols had a scheduled day off. Trout has a sore left heel. Pujols told the staff he was good to go and was inserted into the lineup, When you hit three home runs over a doubleheader, who wouldn't be good to go? Trout, meanwhile, said he has no idea how he injured his heel.
