Twin Citians paying more for gas

Twin Cities drivers are currently paying more for gasoline, on average, than the rest of Minnesota and the United States, according to TwinCitiesGasPrices.com.

On Monday, the Twin Cities average was $3.563 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. The Minnesota average $3.561, the web site said Monday. Nationally, the average price was $3.445.

According to the site, the lowest price for a gallon of gas in the Twin Cities area was $3.33 at the Costco on Riverdale Boulevard in Coon Rapids. Next was the SuperAmerica on Northdale Boulevard in Coon Rapids, at $3.37 a gallon.

The highest gasoline prices in the last 24 hours, according to TwinCitiesGasPrices.com, was $3.89 - at Christy's Auto Service, at Dupont and 53rd Av. N. in Minneapolis, and at Southview 66, at Southview Boulevard and 8th Av. S. in South St. Paul.
