Endless love
It's a family affair when Tracee Ellis Ross ("Blackish") hosts the 2017 American Music Awards, which will present a lifetime achievement award to her mom, Diana Ross. Ross, who hosted the event in 1986 and 1987, is scheduled to perform along with Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato. Christina Aguilera will add a bittersweet touch to ladies night when she pays tribute to the late Whitney Houston on the 25th anniversary of "The Bodyguard."

Digging a hole
"Search Party" switches gears in its second season in the wake of an accidental death that leaves the gang scrambling to bury a body. Alia Shawkat ("Arrested Development") is an engaging lead, but it's still tough to describe a series that wants to be both a thriller and comedy without managing to achieve either goal.
