Going to the birds

Does Polly really want a cracker? Find out in "Parrot Confidential" (7 p.m., TPT, Ch. 2), a new "Nature" documentary that looks at everything from the difficulties of raising the birds to the cultural impact of Baretta's cockatoo. If that sounds dirty, it was purely unintentional.

Roses are red

Reality dating shows get spoofed in the second season of "Burning Love" (9:30 p.m., E!) with guest appearances from Adam Scott, Colin Hanks and Jerry O'Connell. Sounds promising, but it'll be hard to top the comic stylings of "The Bachelor."

Can't get out of bed

If you think James Caan is frustrated by the cancellation of "Back in the Game," just see him squirm in 1990's "Misery" (8 p.m., Logo), in which he plays a suspense writer who is kidnapped by a superfan played by super actress Kathy Bates.
