Sweet Melissa

Minnesotan Melissa Peterman may not be getting the attention for "Baby Daddy" that she did as the sidekick on "Reba," but her latest sitcom will pass the 100-episode mark during this sixth season ("Reba" logged 126 episodes). The next step for Peterman — a veteran of both Dudley Riggs and the "Fargo" movie — is a big-screen splash, perhaps as Melissa McCarthy's even more obnoxious sister?

Back in the U.S.S.R.

Fareed Zakaria, the eggiest of the Sunday morning eggheads, hosts "The Most Powerful Man in the World," an in-depth look at the rise and influence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Among those tapped for their insight: Henry Kissinger, New Yorker editor David Remnick and former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

Odd couples

Those who were just introduced to Jimmy Kimmel through the Oscars may want to finally check out his regular gig as host of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the most consistent of the late-night shows. One of its innovative segments, "Mash Up Mondays," unites rock acts that even the Grammys wouldn't dare bring together. The latest shotgun marriage: OK Go and the Go-Go's. Coming soon: Ice-T and T.I.

10:35 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5
