Live from Nashville

We lost count of how many different awards shows there are in country music. Who cares who wins? Anyway, Taylor Swift isn't country anymore, so who's keeping score? These shows are just excuses to watch performances, outfits and hairdos (or hats). "The CMT Awards" will feature live performances from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena by Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan — all of whom will be performing in the Twin Cities this summer. 5:30 p.m. CMT

Pool party

How hot is the "iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party 2015"? Kelly Clarkson opens the show. Host Nick Jonas showers fans with water from the stage. Nicki Minaj invites fans onstage and performs "Hey Mama" with David Guetta and Bebe Rexha. Adam Lambert introduces Echosmith. And you have a front-row seat. 8 p.m. CW

Delivering post-Letterman

Without a lead-in from David Letterman, what kind of momentum does "The Late Late Show With James Corden" have? The Brit comic is still landing some A-list guests, including Kit Harrington of "Game of Thrones" and David Duchovny, who could talk about the upcoming "X-Files" reboot as well as his month-old music album, "Hell or Highwater." Performing will be R&B singer Tamia, who might also talk a little about the NBA Finals since she's married to former hoops star Grant Hill. 11:37 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4
