Sunny side up

Because "Danger & Eggs" was produced by a Minnesota animation company, Puny Entertainment, you may be expecting a cartoon with a passive-aggressive approach. Instead, it's all aggression, with the daring D.D. Danger ("SNL's" Aidy Bryant) flying across the brashly colored landscape in search of independence — or a refill on Ritalin. Twin Cities improv veteran Eric Knobel provides the voice of Philip the Safety Egg, who puts aside his fragile nature to support his human cannonball pal. If you like your children's animation served with hot sauce, get ready for a Grand Slam feast.

Hello, Dolley!

It's no surprise that "First Ladies Revealed" opens with anecdotes about Jackie Kennedy, but the new documentary series offers nothing that Natalie Portman hasn't whispered to us already. Stick around, though, for eye-opening tales about Dolley Madison, a style innovator and riveting personality all her own. A big-screen biopic seems tailor-made for Melissa McCarthy.

Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman and all the living presidents are among the big names doing their civic duty.
