Can we start again, please?

"Jesus Christ Superstar Live" just received some well-deserved Emmy nominations, but the original 1973 film version, "Jesus Christ Superstar," also got some hosannas, including Golden Globe nods for stars Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson. Director Norman Jewison does fine work here, just as he did with the 1971 screen adaptation of "Fiddler on the Roof."

The last dance

"Nashville" clearly stayed on stage for too many encores, but you may want to check out the series finale on the off chance that Connie Britton's beloved character Rayna Jaymes, who died last year, will return from the grave. The series, which debuted in 2012, always had great musical ambitions, thanks to the early influences of producer T Bone Burnett. Too bad the soap-opera antics eventually overshadowed the killer soundtrack.

I can't vouch for the quality of the grub being served up in Season 9 of "The Great Food Truck Race," but some of the team names — Heroes on a Half Shell, Buns N' Thighs, Mobile Moo Shu — have my mouth watering. The winner gets $50,000 and a year's supply of Alka-Seltzer.
