Leaders of the pack

She was a force behind the wheels, but can motorsports pioneer Danica Patrick steer a major awards show? Don't bet against her. Patrick, who recently retired from racing, is the first woman to host "The ESPY Awards." She won't be the only formidable woman in the spotlight. Malpractice suit

"Suits" has lost its princess — and its sense of fun. The long-running lawyers-in-love series hopes to carry on without lead actor Patrick J. Abrams and the newest member of Britain's royal family, Meghan Markle, by bringing on Katherine Heigl as a "formidable" attorney. Judging from the first two episodes of Season 8, the would-be rom-com queen fails to click as a tough cookie; she's more a candied apple. The former "Grey's Anatomy" star isn't helped by the writers, who may still be drunk from Markle's nuptials. Time to put this "Suit" in storage.

The return of Walter White

Conan O'Brien may need to bring out some folding chairs when the cast of "Breaking Bad" reunites on "Conan," as they did just before the show's finale five years ago. The show, being taped at Comic-Con, will also have future episodes with casts from the highly anticipated films "The Predator," "Glass" and "Aquaman."
