Loud and proud

Melissa McCarthy is probably still taking bows after her much-buzzed-about Super Bowl ad and surprise appearance on "Saturday Night Live" as press secretary Sean Spicer. But don't forget about her day job as movie star. Her 2016 comedy "The Boss" is a raucous vehicle for this take-no-prisoners actress, who tears into the role of a self-motivated mogul who won't take no for an answer.

The fashion world in Paris may sound like a glamorous backdrop for a series, but consider the fact that "The Collection" is set right after World War II with two clashing brothers trying to come to terms with compromises they made to survive the Nazi occupation. Suddenly, this isn't just a game of dress-up. Most of the cast will be unfamiliar to American viewers, with the exception of Mamie Gummer, who is doing a fine job living large outside the shadow of her mother, Meryl Streep.

Bryan Cranston returns as aging caped crusader Titanium Rex in the second season of "SuperMansion," the animated series that imagines what happens when the Justice League of America starts to resemble a retirement center. Cranston, who also serves as an executive producer, helped recruit Yvette Nicole Brown ("Community") to join the voice-over cast.
