A river runs through it

True Minnesotans won't learn anything new in the premiere episode of "America's Mississippi," but the footage from Lake Itasca will top that video you shot on your cellphone. Future episodes wind through the heartland and into the bayou with plenty of cameos from wildlife along the way.

Still marvelous

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" returns with the same fast-paced dialogue and pastel color scheme that made it the big winner at last fall's Emmy ceremony. Star Rachel Brosnahan is still dazzling as the fledgling stand-up comic who can't quite get up the nerve to tell her parents about her moonlighting job.

Baggage claim

After an eight-year break, "Deal or No Deal" is back in business. An hour of watching someone select briefcases should feel like a stretch, but host Howie Mandel still manages to make the game breeze by, especially when he has a guest as enthusiastic as the one in the first episode, who boogies after every round.
