"Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel" continues its tradition of ending the calendar year by having all the correspondents gather around the boss to look back at their favorite stories. But this time, one chair will be empty. Frank Deford, the iron man of the 23-year-old series, died in May. Expect the memories to include a tip of the baseball hat to the late, great journalist.
