Look, Ma! Both hands!

Two members of Bloomington's the Nerdery put up the gone fishin' sign to be a part of "Hillbilly Handfishin' " (7 p.m. Friday, Animal Planet), a series in which participants learn to fish without the luxury of a rod and reel. According to their boss at the interactive production company, both Andrew Watson and Ken Sykora returned with their fingers intact.

Canadian blend

Why create a cop show or a medical show when you can do both? "Cracked" (9 p.m. Friday, Reelz), a Canadian export, combines the two genres by teaming a former SWAT member (David Sutcliffe) with a forensic psychiatrist (Stefanie von Pfetten). Sounds a little bit like "Bones," eh?

Juno & Jay

Former Minnesotan Diablo Cody talks about her directorial debut when she stops by "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (10:35 p.m. Friday, KARE, Ch. 11). Hard to imagine our star writer having the same chemistry with the departing Leno that she's shown with rival David Letterman.

Just for laughs

"TV's Funniest of the Funniest: A Paley Center for Media Special" (8 p.m. Sunday, KARE, Ch. 11) counts down the top 30 cut-up moments, a list that's almost certain to include that time Perry Mason got hit in the face with a coconut-cream pie. Betty White hosts.
