There are plenty of ways to celebrate Alfred Hitchcock, from HBO's recent documentary to, well, the master's own films. But if the idea of classic film sounds like homework, try 2007's "Disturbia," a clever homage to "Rear Window" with Shia LaBeouf filling in for Jimmy Stewart as a homebound everyman who's convinced that his neighbor is a serial killer.

Stir crazy

Eight citizens, guilty of nothing but morbid curiosity, check into a new season of "60 Days In," a reality show that poses more serious challenges than not getting a rose. Eight innocents attempt to blend into the population of Indiana's Clark County Jail, with the help of Sheriff Jamey Noel. Things quickly unravel as inmates become convinced one of the moles is hiding drugs in her bra, while another scrambles to defend his weak cover story.

Word of mouth

If Russell Peters comes out on top over CeeLo Green in the latest edition of "Lip Sync Battle," can he be rewarded with his own half-hour of prime-time TV? The comic is a well-deserved international star, but he's woefully underappreciated in this country. Time for Peters to show Americans he can do more than play one of Jimmy Fallon's party games.
