Prison break

The 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death barely justifies 24 hours of movies featuring the King, since most of his screen work was laughable for all the wrong reasons. Are you ready for the country

"CMA Fest 2017," the best of Nashville's greatest gift to fans, features performances by Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks and just about every other artist with an acoustic guitar and twangy voice. Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini handle hosting duties.

Breaking up is hard to do

Marlon Wayans, who has carved out a profitable career spoofing movies like "50 Shades of Grey" and "Scream," returns to network TV with "Marlon," a sitcom about divorced parents who still dig each other. It's closer to "Three's Company" than brother Keenen's "In Living Color" — and, no, that's not a compliment. NBC is treating this summer series like a blip on its schedule. You should do likewise.
