“The Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons will serve as narrator on the prequel “Young Sheldon,” coming to CBS this fall. First, though, he’ll warm up his voice as tour guide for “First in Human,” taking viewers down the corridors of the National Institutes of Health, the largest hospital in the world devoted to research.

Producer Lorne Michaels has offered “Weekend Update” specials in the past, but expectations are sky high for four new specials featuring news from Michael Che and Colin Just, as well as appearances by past and present cast members.
