Sunday It's TV's biggest night -- if you happen to be Regis Philbin or Susan Lucci. Wayne Brady hosts "The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4), which will include tributes to Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek. If the show has an in-memoriam event, it had better include the death of the soap opera.

Monday With "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" in reruns, you may want to check out "Sex Crimes Unit" (8 p.m., HBO), a documentary about the real-life "SVU" division of the New York District Attorney office. Shockingly, none of the detectives bears any resemblance to Mariska Hargitay.

Tuesday ABC's obsession with humiliating everyday Americans continues with "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" (8 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5), a new series that makes "Wipeout!" seem like a romp in a bounce house. Contestants who can't properly answer quiz questions are ejected by being strapped to the wing of a plane, launched into air by dynamite and other methods developed by the Spanish Inquisition.

Wednesday Another season, another Kathy Griffin stand-up special. The victims in "Kathy Griffin: Gurrl Down!" (8 p.m., Bravo) include Bill O'Reilly, Sarah Palin, Charlie Sheen, Kirstie Alley and Michele Bachmann. Congrats, congresswoman! You've made the big time!

Thursday The world of "The Lord of the Rings" looks downright idyllic compared to the setting where Elijah Wood now makes his home. In the new series "Wilfred" (9 p.m., FX), the former Hobbit sees the neighbor's dog as a hard-drinking crass man in a furry suit. He was originally supposed to see Harvey the rabbit, but the network couldn't afford him.
