Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe continues in his off-season role as the NFL's representative for gay rights with an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" (4 p.m. Friday, WCCO, Ch. 4). Since punters rarely get a chance to do a touchdown dance, Kluwe will get his first opportunity to show fans if he's got rhythm.
Beyond the 'Fringe'
After five marvelously loopy seasons, "Fringe" (7 p.m. Friday, KMSP, Ch. 9) closes the portal between its characters and their small but loyal fan base with a two-hour series finale. As a parting gift, maybe the underrated John Noble will finally get the Emmy nomination he so richly deserves.Silver lining assignment
Last season Oscar contender Anne Hathaway increased her likability with a killer Claire Danes impression on "Saturday Night Live." Maybe Jennifer Lawrence, another favorite to win an Academy Award this year, can do the same when she assumes hosting duties on a new episode that features music from the Lumineers (10:30 p.m. Saturday, KARE, Ch. 11).Book 'em, Jimi
In addition to its addictive theme song, "Hawaii Five-O" (9 p.m. Sunday, WCCO, Ch. 4) will showcase seven previously unreleased Jimi Hendrix songs, including "Bleeding Heart" and "Mojo Man." If you like what you hear, you can pick up the complete album, "People, Hell and Angels," when it's released on March 5. Note: "Hawaii" may start late depending on the length of the AFC Championship game.
