Sunday Football will be on the minds of many, with two games setting the stage for the Super Bowl: the AFC Championship (2 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) between the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts followed by the NFC Championship (5:30 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9) with the Minnesota Vikings battling the New Orleans Saints.

Monday Glenn Close returns for a third season on "Damages" (9 p.m., FX). Assigned to recover money lost in an investment fraud, she is pitted against a powerful family that includes guest stars Campbell Scott and Lily Tomlin and, as their attorney, Martin Short. Tuesday "Iran and the West" (7 p.m., National Geographic), originally broadcast before Iran's election in June, offers insight into the country's volatile state and its complex relationship with the United States.

Wednesday President Obama will deliver his first State of the Union Address (8 p.m., various broadcast and cable networks).

Thursday Jeff Probst is host for the one-hour special "Live for the Moment" (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) in which he and a man with ALS collaborate to create family memories and life lessons for all.
