The driver of a semitrailer truck died after his vehicle veered off I-94 in Rogers and caught fire Wednesday morning, the State Patrol said.
The semi was the only vehicle involved in the wreck, which occurred at 9:42 a.m. on westbound I-94 at milepost 210 near County Road 81, the patrol said.
A number of emergency vehicles were on the scene. Authorities have closed the two right lanes, leaving one lane open to traffic.
"Motorists can expect backups in the area," the patrol said.
At 10:40 a.m., traffic was jammed back at 101st Avenue.
There was no information immediately available about the driver's identity.
