Custodial staff at the Ramsey County courthouse and St. Paul City Hall building at 15 Kellogg Blvd W. dusted the building's towering statue Monday afternoon. "The Vision of Peace" is a three-story tall sculpture (36 feet) made of Mexican onyx and weighing 60 tons.

The statue, which stands in the main hall of the building's first floor, depicts five Native Americans at the base using sacred pipes in a spiritual ceremony. Smoke arises out of their pipes to form the large figure being cleaned. The statue rotates 132 degrees on its base, turning 66 degrees in each direction. Each rotation takes about 2 1/2 hours.
