Well........probably the toughest tournament I have ever fished in regards to what happened to the fish in the wind and cold front!! The morning started out crappy with a speeding ticket for my tournament partner less than 2 miles from the landing - yikes! We get to the Tainter Lake landing by Jakes Supper Club at 5:25am for a 5:30 pre-tournament meeting and it there is snow flurries - 35 degrees and 24 mph winds!!
We took off @ 6:10 am and the wind gusts were 40 mph+ / unbelievable! We fished every possible waypoint that I stored from pre-fishing and we finally figured a little something out. I say "little" because we had 8.78 lbs. on our 5 fish limit of smallmouth and wondered where we would end up. After all 38 boats had weighed, we finished in second place with that small limit and all I can say is "never give up" - Seriously!!

After a tough day fishing I was surprised at the results!!
