TORNADO DONATIONS WILL BE MATCHED

Individual donations for north Minneapolis tornado aid are being matched by the Minneapolis Foundation and the Greater Twin Cities United Way.

The agencies have each pledged up to $100,000 in matches to the Minnesota Helps North Minneapolis Recovery Fund.

Donations can be made online at www.GiveMN.org. Checks can be mailed to Minneapolis Foundation at 800 IDS Center, 80 S. 8th St., Minneapolis, MN 55402-2115. For more information, call 612-672-3878.

Donations can be made to American Red Cross at www.redcross.org or 1-800-RED-CROSS; text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation; or mail to Twin Cities American Red Cross chapter at 1201 West River Pkwy., Minneapolis, MN 55454, or to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.

Donations to the Salvation Army can be made online via www.startribune.com/a426 or by sending a check to the Salvation Army, 2445 Prior Av. N., Roseville, MN 55113.

Callers can donate by credit card at 1-800-SAL-ARMY or by texting BLESSING to 85944.

Target Corp. has donated $50,000 to the Red Cross and Salvation Army to support their efforts in north Minneapolis.
