In the spirit of Michael Apted's "Up" series comes "Millennials: Growing Up in the 21st Century," Rick Stevenson's ambitious tracking of 22 children over the course of 15 years. The series, which runs over the course of six weeks, is a reminder that for many Americans, surviving adolescence is the most daunting job they'll ever have.

The family in "Flowers" appears to be renting from "The Royal Tenenbaums." The first scripted series from Seeso, NBC's digital comedy platform, has all the dysfunction and darkness of Wes Anderson's film, but without the familiar faces. The largely British cast mopes its way through separation, lust and the worst dinner party since Mary Richards lived in Minneapolis.

Gerard Depardieu broke away from his attempt to drink every bottle of wine in Sicily to star as a mayor in the political battle of his life in "Marseille," Netflix's first French original production. Response to the show may dictate just how committed the streaming service will be to its international market in the immediate future.
