It's nice to see "So You Think You Can Dance" dedicate its new season to a younger generation, especially when it puts the spotlight on a 13-year-old ballerina starting to embrace her early growth spurt. Driving test

Tired of waiting for Phoebe to pick him up in her cab, Joey has gotten wheels of his own — and then some. "Friends" veteran Matt LeBlanc makes his mark as the first non-British host of "Top Gear," the long-running series in which grown men turn into little boys over the purr of high-performance engines.

The big shorts

Adam Driver makes up for all his jerk-like behavior in "Girls" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" by opening "TED Talks: War & Peace" with a modest but powerful summary of how the arts can help soldiers cope with their return home. Driver, a veteran himself, is followed by journalist Sebastian Junger, protester Jamila Raqib and others who effectively make their points before their allotted time is up. If only the presidential candidates could do the same.
