First, Atlanta has to deal with "The Walking Dead." Now, in "Containment," the city must respond to a deadly epidemic that has the government enforcing a vast quarantine, forcing loved ones to panic in separate zones. It's enough to give Scarlett O'Hara a serious case of the vapors.

The spy who lulled me

Hugh Laurie ("House") and Tom Hiddleston ("Thor") play an advanced game version of cat-and-mouse in "The Night Manager," a six-hour adaptation of the John le Carre novel in which patience is a virtue. Those accustomed to spy tales being wrapped up in a few action scenes may get antsy, but it's an intoxicating contest for those of us who can take our martinis neither shaken or stirred.

Where do the children play

"Frontline" is best known for peeling the top-secret cover letter off important documents, but the long-running series is also capable of personalizing complex issues. Its latest documentary, "Children of Syria," does just that, with filmmakers following a plucky family as they make their way to Germany, barely flinching at the sound of gunfire and red tape that has become an everyday part of their lives.
