Just got off the phone with Tom Barnard. He's a guy who doesn't talk to the mainstream media much on-the-record, but I must admit I've found him to be a straightshooter in our off-the-record get togethers. So is he for real when he says he's leaving the KQ show in Dec. 2012. I'm willing to bet he is. You can see what he had to say in my story runnign in Wednesday's paper. Those who think this is negotation play - and it might be - need to keep in mind that Tommy B. makes plenty of money already and my impression is he isn't a workalcoholic that needs the radio gig to fill his ego satisfaction. On the other hand, three years is a long ways away. Stay tuned....
