A number of lane closures are on tap this week as the Minnesota Department of Transportation conducts maintenance work on roads and bridges.
Here is what will be closed tonight:
In Arden Hills, I-35W will be reduced to one lane in both directions from County Road 96 to County Road H to allow for bridge construction. Restrictions on the northbound lanes will be in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday. On the southbound side, the restrictions will be in effect from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.
In St. Paul, westbound I-94 will be reduced to two lanes from Dale Street to Lexington Parkway due to bridge construction. The restrictions will kick in at 7 p.m. Wednesday and last until 5:30 a.m. Thursday. Look for single lane traffic between Victoria Street and Lexington from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
On Hwy. 169, the left lane in both directions between Anderson Lakes Parkway and 494 will be shut down for road construction from 7 p.m. Wednesday to about 5 a.m. Thursday. No vehicles wider than 11 feet will be allowed on the road.
MnDOT has called off tonight's scheduled closure of Hwys. 95 and 36 in Oak Park Heights. Crews were supposed to move the Bergstein Shoddy Mill and Warehouse from Oak Park Heights to Sillwater to make way for the new St. Croix Crossing bridge. But that has been postponned, and no new moving date has been scheduled.
Thursday's planned closures:
Look for lane and ramp closures on westbound 394. The right lane and shoulder between Hopkins Crossroad (County Road 73) and Plymouth Road will close at 8 a.m. and reopen at 2 p.m. The ramp to Plymouth Avenue will be closed from 9 to 10 a.m. Crews will be conducting boring samples on the stretch of freeway.
