In case you missed it, Tracy Morgan shook up two worlds last night -- sports and politics -- when he went on TNT's "Inside the NBA" broadcast and, well, was himself. You can see and hear for yourself what he said about the former governor of Alaska right here. Suffice to say, it raised some eyebrows and ruffled some feathers -- so much so that TNT immediately apologized. "It's unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments," a spokesperson said. TNT's slogan is "We know drama." And the channel has some now.

But part of us wonders what TNT expected when it put Tracy Morgan on the air and had someone ask him, essentially, who he finds more attractive -- Sarah Palin or Tina Fey? We imagine there was a meeting at some point where it was decided, "Put on Tracy Morgan! He'll be outlandish! It will be funny!" And then last night it was a surprise that he wasn't acceptably outlandish.

When you bring in a loose cannon, you can't control the situation. The Vikings found that out (again) this year with Randy Moss. And you usually get what you deserve.
