Not surprisingly, after the Wolves expended so much time and energy in Friday's double-overtime victory in Washington, D.C., the team didn't have much energy in tonight's home loss to Utah.

It was the first time since Jan. 10 the team failed to reach 90 points. It was the first time in almost a month the team failed to shoot 40 percent.

On the plus side the team played some pretty good defense, managing to stay in a game when their shots weren't falling. Here are some final thoughts on the game:

--Ricky Rubio was the brightest silver lining for the Wolves. He scored 23 points on 9-for-12 shooting, his fourth 20-point effort of the season. Over his last five games, Rubio is shooting 53.1 percent (29-for-46) from the floor. This was his league-leading 29th game with at least three steals.

--All the youngsters struggled a bit, but Karl-Anthony Towns managed to tally his eighth straight double-double and his 44th overall with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

--But Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins were a combined 7-for-23.

--LaVine did hit a three-pointer, though, going 1-for-2. It was his 17th straight game with a three-pointer.

--Tonight's game was the first in the NBA this season in which neither team scored more than 35 points at halftime. It was the seventh such game in Wolves history. Interestingly enough, three of those have come against Utah.
