Tippi Hedren, (pictured) the Minnesota native who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's iconic 1963 film "The Birds," reportedly took in Conor McPherson's stage adaptation of the same text at the Guthrie Theater on Wednesday.
McPherson and Hitchcock both drew on a 1952 Daphne du Maurier story.
Hedrin saw Henry Wishcamper's atmospheric production in the Dowling Studio which stars Angela Timberman, Stephen Yoakam, J.C. Cutler and Summer Hagen as figures trapped in a post-apocalyptic world that is a cross between "Mad Max" and a psycho-thriller.
There's no word yet on what Hedren, in town to introduce Hitchcock's "Marnie" at the Heights Theatre, thought of this "Birds."
