Three days before the Wild drops the puck on the 2016-17, hockey fans can join in an exclusive conversation in downtown Minneapolis previewing the season.

The Star Tribune's Wild Season Preview event will be held today, Oct. 10, at noon at the Cambria Gallery on 7th and will feature beat writer Michael Russo and Anthony LaPanta and Wes Walz from Fox Sports North.

And there is plenty to discuss. The Wild has made the playoffs in four consecutive seasons, but the team has not been able to get past the second round. In steps new coach Bruce Boudreau, who comes to Minnesota after some success with the Anaheim Ducks. The 61-year-old former NHL coach of the year is tasked with turning a talented roster into a team that can make a deep playoff run.
