Clutch homer lifts East Ridge over Park • EAST RIDGE 4, PARK 3: Senior catcher Taylor LeMay hit her second home run of the season in the top of the seventh inning, giving the Raptors a victory over the Wolfpack on Thursday in Suburban East Conference play in Cottage Grove. The victory broke a three-game losing streak for East Ridge (6-7).

• CHAMPLIN PARK 3, BLAINE 0: Senior Katie Herron fired a one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts as the Rebels (7-4) blanked the Bengals in the Northwest Suburban. Senior Savannah Robinson provided all the offensive support Herron needed, belting a home run and a triple.

• EASTVIEW 2, ROSEMOUNT 1: Ariana Hipolito doubled home Melissa Barry with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, giving the Lightning a victory over the Irish in the South Suburban. Barry also doubled in the inning. Eastview's winning pitcher was freshman Kerrigan Hoshaw, who threw a five-hitter in her first varsity start.

• FARMINGTON 1, NORTHFIELD 0: Ashley Betzold threw a two-hit shutout as the Tigers (9-2) blanked the Raiders in the Missota. Farmington shut out Northfield 5-0 earlier this year.

• SOUTH ST. PAUL 10, MAHTOMEDI 0: Emily Engelmeier and Sam LaShomb each had three RBI, leading the Packers (8-3) past the Zephyrs in the Classic Suburban. LaShomb had three hits and Engelmeier two.

• TRI-CITY UNITED 11, JORDAN 6: Junior Chelsey Walerius had three hits, including a double, leading Tri-City United past the Jaguars in the Minnesota River. Lexie Erickson, also a junior, belted a home run and double for Jordan.

GIRLS' GOLF

Hole-in-one boosts St. Croix Lutheran • TRI-METRO MEET: St. Croix Lutheran sophomore Crystal Carmichael aced the par-3, 92-yard third hole with a 9-iron during the Crusaders' dual meet with Minnehaha Academy at Hiawatha Golf Club. The pin was to the far right past a sand bunker on the slightly uphill hole. Teammates Emma Groom and Jenny Pederson shared medalist honors with 3-over-par 39s as the Crusaders won the dual meet 167-241.
