The NBA today announced it is postponing training camps schedule to begin Oct. 3 and cancelled the first week of preseason games, through Oct. 15, while it appears to make little headway on a new labor agreement with its players.

That wipes out a memorable trip for the Wolves to Mankato and cancels an Oct. 9 game at Detroit, an Oct. 11 game against Toronto at Target Center and an Oct. 14 game at Chicago all ahve been cancelled.

The final five preseason games likely will be cancelled if there's no breakthrough in the negotiations in the next week or so.

Those season ticket holders who chose to do so will have money paid for any games cancelled applied to their 2012-13 season tickets at this season's prices. Those who didn't choose to be part of the Loyalty Plan will receive refunds for games cancelled.

The Wolves today sent a letter to season ticket holders informing them that money already paid for games now cancelled or to be cancelled will be automatically applied as credit for their 2012-13 season tickets at this season's prices.

Starting Oct. 1, season ticket holders who opted for the team's "Loyalty Plan" account will accrue interest while the lockout persists to apply to food, beverage or team merchandise when the lockout ends.

Those who didn't choose that option will receive refunds for cancelled games.
