BOYS' TENNIS

Edina Invitational, Saturday: While always the strongest field of the season - the state tournament included - it's perhaps even more compelling this year. Mounds View will be there, so it's a chance to see how much Wyatt McCoy has improved in two years. Rochester Mayo is also scheduled, which means seventh-grade prodigy Ingrid Neel brings her talents to town. In addition to the host team, the field also includes defending Class 2A champion Eden Prairie, Class 1A powers Blake and Breck and highly regarded Mahtomedi and Wayzata. 10 a.m./noon/2 p.m., with the championship at Edina Community Center.

BOYS' GOLF

Tri-State Invitational, at Edinburgh USA, Friday/Saturday: It seems bad weather has plagued this highly anticipated meet nearly every year. So let's hope that Mother Nature has a kind heart and spares the tournament the nastiness that has been so ubiquitous this spring. The field is a who's who of boys' golf in Minnesota, with traditional powers Wayzata, Eagan, Elk River, Forest Lake, Eden Prairie, Orono, Rogers and Edina.

GIRLS' GOLF

Tuesday: Prior Lake Invitational. Most of the state's top teams, including Minnewaska Area, New Prague, Eden Prairie and Prior Lake gather at the Wilds. Tee off 11:30 a.m.
