Gov. Mark Dayton is a hockey guy. He played goalie for Yale once upon a time. Saw him at Frozen Four.

Now he has proclaimed Wed., April 13, as UMD Bulldogs Day in Minnesota to honor their men's hockey team which beat Michigan 3-2 in overtime last Saturday for the NCAA Division I title.

The city of Duluth will honor the team at 6 p.m. at AMSOIL Arena.
