A third suspect has been indicted on first-degree murder charges in the August 2011 shooting death of 13-year-old Ray'Jon Gomez, who was riding his bike with two friends when he was shot.

Kemen Lavatos Taylor II, 26, of Robbinsdale was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and four counts of attempted first-degree murder. He made his first court appearance Friday in Hennepin County District Court, where bail was set at $2 million.

A grand jury returned the indictment Thursday afternoon. Also facing first-degree murder charges in Gomez's death are Derrick Deangelo Catchings, 16, and Donquarius Davon Copeland, 17. Both teenagers have been certified to stand trial as adults.

According to the indictment, Taylor, Copeland and Catchings conspired to shoot at Gomez and his two unnamed friends while they were riding their bikes in a north Minneapolis alley on Aug. 24, 2011. At the time of the shootings, Catchings was 15 and Copeland was 17.
