William Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'

Opening: Theatre Coup d'Etat is producing this show at the American Swedish Institute. Peter Beard, one of the company founders, portrays the troubled prince, above, with Kelly Nelson as Ophelia. Meri Golden is Gertrude and Arthur Peden is Claudius. James Napoleon Stone, the other co-founder, plays Laertes. The production is advertised as "ensemble-directed" with the leading voices being Beard and Stone. Theatre Coup d'Etat is a relatively new company that focuses on classics — universal and American. (8 p.m. Wed.-Fri. $20. Ends June 9. 2600 Park Av. S., Mpls. http://theatrecoupdetat.com.)
