The Warriors came out best in Love trade

January 26, 2015 at 6:30AM

During Kevin Love trade talks, one team that kept coming up as a suitor was Golden State. The sticking point always involved Warriors wing player Klay Thompson.

While the Wolves and fans should be thrilled with the ultimate deal the team made with the Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins and Co., Warriors fans should be thrilled, too, that Golden State held firm and held on to Thompson.

His amazing third quarter Friday — he scored 37 points and made all 13 of his shots — underscores his offensive talent, and he's already a much better two-way player than Love.

DEFLATEGATE Shop.vardagen.com has a great T-shirt from the controversy, depicting a cartoonish Tom Brady riding a giant deflated football.

SOMETHING NEW The NHL and players association are working on a "Ryder Cup-style" offseason tournament, ESPN.com reported.
