KFAN's schedule features local sports-oriented talk from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. while 1500ESPN offers a mix of local and national sports talk. 1500ESPN station manager Dan Seeman said his station still is assessing the mix. He said he's happy with the "Mike and Mike" show but said of Colin Cowherd's show: "I think our hope is that Cowherd works. It hasn't yet. If it doesn't, we have to address that." Here's a closer look at the competing schedules during prime weekday listening hours:

KFAN

9 a.m.-noon Paul Allen, who is also the Vikings play-by-play man, is the host of perhaps the most purely sports-only program in the market.

Noon-3 p.m. Dan (The Common Man) Cole. He brings his unique sense of humor while talking politics, news and even sports once in a while.

3-6:30 p.m. "Bumper to Bumper" with Dan Barreiro offers opinions and analysis on a mix of sports, politics and popular culture.

1500ESPN

9 a.m.-noon "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd, another national show.

3-4 p.m. Sports talk. Reusse and Joe Soucheray, the team that has been talking sports for decades.

4-6 p.m. "Garage Logic" with Joe Soucheray. The only nonsports show on the daily schedule.
