Plural marriage, better (and more judgmentally) known as polygamy, is mischievously spoofed, almost to the point of ridicule, in a crowd-pleaser directed by Samantha Baker Harris. "August: Osage County" meets "Big Love" when a husband goes missing and his four wives are left fretting over his whereabouts. Is he out seeking an additional wife or has he abandoned them to pursue the lifestyle of a swinger? Emily Schmidt's script hits and misses but the wives quartet of Harris, Rita Boersma, Shanan Custer and Maureen Tubbs delights with madcap daffiness. FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
