The cheapest house on the market in the most expensive town in America: Aspen, Colorado, will cost you nearly $600,000, and that's in a trailer park. Ouch! Nancy Keates of the Wall Street Journal takes a look at this unusual market, which seems to have defied the odds as buyers from all over the world descend on this storybook mountain town. Keates said that the average home price in Aspen has increased during the past four years, to $6 million in 2010 from $5.4 million in 2006, and that the median price for single-family homes is now the highest in the country at $4.6 million. The average price per square foot for those sales was nearly $1,000. The story includes a great slide show of active listings. Total eye candy.
