While there are older music venues in the downtown club district (First Ave and the Fine Line), very few dance clubs have lasted as long as the Lounge. The chic nightclub will celebrate its 15th anniversary Saturday with a big bash. Located one block off the 1st Avenue strip, the Lounge is famous for splitting its crowd between an electro-house room and a hip-hop room (and don't forget the prog/tribal sounds in the back).

9 p.m. Sat. 411 2nd Av. N., Mpls. 21 and older. 612-333-8800. www.theloungempls.com.

The Queen of Mean There's no liking Lisa Lampanelli. You either love her or you hate her. The potty-mouthed insult comic -- who could make Don Rickles blush -- plays the State Theatre Saturday.

7:30 p.m. Sat. 805 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. $42.75. 1-800-982-2787. www.hennepintheatretrust.org.

Spoken from the heart Another stellar spoken-word performer, Christy NaMee Eriksen, will grace the Loft Literary Center's Equilibrium stage Saturday. Eriksen anchors her poetry in her experience as a Korean adoptee. Raised in Juneau, Alaska, she graduated from Hamline University and appeared on Equilibrium's award-winning CD "¿Nation of Immigrants?"

8 p.m. Sat. 1011 Washington Av. S., Mpls. $5. 612-215-2575. www.loft.org.
