The ice is on!

Use caution, but the smaller lakes are starting to produce nice fish

Now that the rifle season is over, the muzzle loading hunt has begun. Reports are spotty this year but some nice deer were shot this year.

Walleyes and bluegills have been active on smaller lakes. There is anywhere from a skim to 8" of ice on many lakes. Portage and Twin have had the most traffic so far.
